Lares at the Wells

If you remember this book then you’d have loved my most recent little job-let: Dressing for the Birmingham Royal Ballet‘s production of Coppelia.

Birmingham Royal Ballet used to be Sadlers Wells Theatre Ballet which was founded by Irish woman Ninette de Valois in 1947.

Here’s some of the costumes. They’re eighteen years old, and so well made & maintained it’d make you faint.

*Sigh*

First image snaffled from Alibris; second from Wikipedia; all others by me, taken using the Instagram app on my iPhone.
